The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari (Part-II)

Now here is the story told by sadhu to the seeker of peace (in our story,The lawyer).
Imagine that "You are sitting in the middle of a magnificent, lush, green garden. This garden is filled with the most spectacular flowers you have ever seen. The environment is supremely tranquil and silent. Savor the sensual delights of this garden and feel as if you have all the time in the world to enjoy this natural oasis. As you look around you see that in the center of this magical garden stands a towering, red lighthouse, six stories high. Suddenly, the silence of the garden is disturbed by a loud creaking as the door at the base of the lighthouse opens. Out stumbles a nine –foot-tall, nine-hundred-pound Japanese sumo wrestler who casually wanders into the center of the garden. As this sumo wrestler starts to move around the garden, he finds a shiny gold stopwatch which someone had left behind many years earlier. He slips it on, and falls to the ground with an enormous thud. The sumo wrestler is rendered unconscious and lies there, silent and still. Just when you think he has taken his last breath, the wrestler awakens, perhaps stirred by the fragrance of some fresh yellow roses blooming nearby. Energized the wrestler jump swiftly to his feet and intuitively looks to his left. He is startled at what he sees. Through the bushes at the very edge of the garden he observes a long winding path covered by millions of sparkling diamonds. Something seems to instruct the wrestler to take the path, and to his credit, he does. This path leads him down the road of everlasting joy and eternal bliss." Now the story has a significant uses of Garden, Lighthouse, Sumo wrestler, Stop watch, Pink wire cable (it is tied around sumo wrestler's waist), Yellow flowers and path of diamonds. From my next post we will learn lessons from them one by one. till then keep reading..............

Why I Said Good Bye to Driving??????

This incident was my worst nightmare which comes true. In the end of the year 2006 in November I started learning driving from a driving school. On 30th November I met with an accident I was on a paddle rickshaw and a indica car hit rickshaw and I fell down and got fracture in my elbow as a result get bed ridden for one month, after that, I recovered and joined office and driving school again. In the end of January 2007 I got my driving license although I was not perfect to drive alone. With the help of my big brother I practiced a lot but still there was some hitch to drive. When we had a driver I used to go office along with my mother and my two nephews after dropping me at office they came back to home. So, one fine morning in February starting, I was going to office accompanied with all my daily joy-riders. There is a wide road in my way to office where traffic is not so heavy. So, I asked my driver to let me drive. My mother said I am not so trained but I said to her back that she always underestimate me, if I never drive then how can I learn to drive. I drive successfully for some time until the venue of huge merging traffic came. There is a T-point without any traffic signal, where traffic from all three directions came, when I reached at that point I asked my driver to drive I was feeling nervous at that T-point, because I was still not well versed in clutch, brake, steering wheel at one time. My driver said “try it; there is no traffic to a visible distant.” I also thought that he was right let me try, all I have to do just steering the wheel quickly as we have to take right turn, in front of us was the wall behind which a big sever nala was flowing. Now the nightmare started I just moved the vehicle ahead to turn it right suddenly I saw a motorcyclist came from right hand side, the distance between front wall and our car was merely 3 meter in which I have to turn my car right hand side, now can u imagine what happened I got nervous and instead of applying brakes I pressed accelerator with moving steering wheel towards right and motorcyclist tried to cross between wall and our car which in a second end up in colliding with our car and he fell down from his mo-bike my driver pulled hand lock at once I was frozen to death my mother was shocked but THANK GOD the motorcyclist was safe his mo-bike was little damaged for which we paid 1000rs. on the spot to him, yes there was a huge crowd gathered but I don’t want to share that thing because it still horrified me . Our car was just 4 month old wagon-R in which we paid 4000rs for repair, including replacement of mud-guard. Needless to say I got scolded at home very much….I hope traffic police men is not reading……I have said goodbye to driving because it’s well said in Hindi “Jaan hai to Jahan Hai”……

It Happened To Me

This incident occurs when i was studying in Vth grade. Me and my friend sadhna once visited to our friend kavita's house when she was ill and continously absent from school for 3 days. She was living in a multistorey building Anandlok in mayur vihar ph.-I. Kavita's house was on vth floor, the building was 7 floor high. there was a lift. Me and my friend Sadhna were very much delighted by the mere thought of lift. We were more excited for using lift rather then meeting our ailing friend Kavita. Anyhow when we reached in the society area our heart was thumping with joy our heartbeat was riding on a roller coster, thought of going in a lift was like a joyride for us. We were so happy that i cant explain u in words, I still felt that time of happiness in my heart. Finally, we reached at our destination of happiness, which was Lift. While standing in front of the Lift ,we saw at each other, as we were astronauts and going in a space craft....oh God what a twinkle of joy in our eyes....i dont remember who pressed first the opening button of Lift...but when it opened we happilly loaded ourselves into it....now the second step of operating Lift came, which floor to go? We were on the ground floor at that time but when we closed the lift we forget at which floor we were. now i pressed the G marked button which is for ground floor after pressing this, lift opened and we came out of it, then we realised that we were already in the ground floor, we again loaded ourselves in the lift now sadhna looked at me like i am an idiot i felt ashamed now its her turn to press the button she pressed the 5 marked button, i dont know what happened whether we cant get notice of the movement of lift or lift was taking 2-3 seconds time to move upward, suddenly we felt fear of non-movement of lift..in a haste we pressed ground floor button....then without thinking twice we pressed 5 th floor button....we were so frightened that goosebumps spread over our whole body, i cried sadhna and sadhna said sangeeta....now we both started crying....we were thinking that our end has come nobody will ever got our bodies, nobody will ever find us...we are gone forever....me and sadhna was wailing and calling mummy-mummy....we started thumping at the lift door....while crying we were continously pressing lift buttons...suddenly the door opened and in a hurry we came out of it there were standing some women when they saw us crying, they asked why we were crying, they were trying to open the lift from 4-5 minutes, but the lift was going sometimes upward and sometimes downward without opening.....now I hope u all understand why the lift was working so maniacally..because we were pressing lift buttons repeatedly....without giving answer to their questions, we ran towards main gate...we want to get rid of the mere sight of that dreadful Lift.....since then we never looked back to that haunted place named Lift......that day of fobia still following me .......when in year 2005 i came for an interview in my present place of job.....u know what happened to me....receptionist told me to go on sixth floor for interview...u can imagine what was my state at that time....i was feeling ashamed to tell receptionist that i fear lift where is the stairway....I approached towards Lift waited for 2-3 minutes what to do....then a lady came there she opened the lift I boarded the lift with her, she pressed 2nd floor when I stand still she asked me where u want to go I said 6th floor, she pressed 6 marked button when she was abt to leave at 2nd floor I asked her for a favour if she can leave me at 6th floor...she smiled and did so......thank god I passed the interview....and now i am a littile bit over that age longed fobia of Lift......I hope the post is not boring..........
